For the last 15 years, I am fairly confident that more people knew me as “the girl with the little black dog” than by my actual name. Sadly, in August 2017 we had to say goodbye to that little black dog. After awhile, we opened our hearts and home to a medium spotted dog. It doesn’t have the same ring but we love him nonetheless. I believe it’s better to be a classic than a trend. Photography and gardening are my passions, and I never want them to become a “job.” I love words, and for some reason, my vocabulary expands ten-fold when I’m angry. I am vehemently pro-personal-choice and anti-intolerance – can’t we all just get along already? Accomplishment is my drug of choice, so when I set my sights on something, much more often than not, it gets done. Guilty pleasures include Grey’s Anatomy re-runs. I like talking to strangers and hearing their stories. My grandma taught me laughter is the best medicine for all that ails you, and I think she was a genius. If there is a dog within a half-kilometre radius, I must pet it, much to the embarrassment of those I’m with. I believe you are who you surround yourself with, so I’ve surrounded myself with the most fun, caring, passionate, intelligent, quirky, geeky, creative, and daring people I can find. Travelling is important, so you can see how the rest of the world does it. Good book + rainy Sunday + down pillows = perfection.
